The mission of the Research and Industrial Relations Center (KKIC) is to strengthen research, development and innovation (RDI) collaborations and university–industry partnerships at the Faculty of Science of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) by building on the internationally recognised expertise of the Faculty’s researchers, its advanced instrumentation and research facilities, and its multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary cooperation potential. The Centre also supports the continuous development of the skills required for such collaborations across the Faculty.

To achieve this, KKIC:

  • Integrates and increases the visibility of the Faculty’s research capacities, with particular emphasis on key professional competencies, strategically important infrastructure, and internationally competitive research groups.

  • Coordinates and supports the establishment and operation of university–industry RDI collaborations, including the launch of new projects, partner search, contract preparation, and project management.

  • Facilitates multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary collaborations that provide scientifically grounded responses to complex industrial and societal challenges.

  • Ensures the efficient, transparent and market-ready utilisation of research infrastructure, offering external partners access to the Faculty’s instrumentation and expert capacities.

  • Supports knowledge and technology transfer, promoting the economic and societal uptake of research results.

  • Contributes to skills and competence development for researchers and staff, particularly in areas essential for industrial collaboration, innovation management, project leadership, and corporate relations.

  • Strengthens the Faculty’s international competitiveness by fostering international industrial and research partnerships and encouraging active participation in relevant networks.
