Center Manager: Judit Kacskovics-Bucsi

I have been the Center Manager of the Research and Industrial Relations Center at Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Natural Sciences since March 2020. My responsibilities include assessing and systematizing research activities, competencies, and capacities that are important in terms of technology transfer and innovation, as well as developing Faculty’s portfolio of offerings. Through the management of knowledge and technology transfer processes, I support the utilization of research results and the development of university innovation activities.

In order to promote external and internal cooperation, I maintain contact with economic actors and coordinate cooperation with organizational units and faculties within the university. I manage the Center from a legal, administrative, and financial perspective and participate in decision-making for the faculty leadership.

I have a degree in economics with legal specialisation and more than 20 years of experience in planning and implementing European Union and Hungarian business, regional and rural development projects, as well as managing research and development projects. During my professional career, I have gained extensive experience in project preparation, grant writing, evaluation and monitoring, as well as program evaluation and strategic environmental assessment. I have in-depth knowledge of Hungarian and European Union regional policy, as well as the tools commonly used in regional development.

In my previous jobs at the Regional Development Agency, the Enterprise Development Foundation network, and a for-profit company, I gained experience not only as an expert but also as an executive and operational manager. Since 2017, I have been performing financial and organizational management tasks in the field of higher education and industrial relations, supporting sustainable development and innovation.
